I’m not crazy, but I wanted to believe in aliens when I was 12. I would take the dog out at night, staring at the stars, trying to discern if the flashing lights were a plane or an extraterrestrial. I couldn’t sleep for hours, debating in my mind. I needed to know, just in case.
56 years later, I believe this incredible country I was raised in is the best the world and human life has to offer. It was always a plane.
So, a fairly large group of United States government employees, volunteers, elected leaders, unelected State and Federal law enforcement, and judges tipping the scales of justice have committed treason against our country, claiming their criminal deeds were for our better good. They had help from the world as well. All for the sake of easy money? Dictatorial power?
Lazy money, selfish power, doesn’t consort with virtue. The United States was created on, ridding our citizens of this sour taste of tyranny. Let me now apologize for more words, about this ‘crap sandwich.’ I’m not trying to sell a supplement where you take one capsule with a bottle of bourbon before bed, and you’ll be able to sleep, and then it will be better in the morning. You won’t. I had a Doctor offer me a vaccine with the same promise.
What are we going to do? I will not answer this
with a bad ending of a James Cameron movie.
So you have virtue, it’s just a word. Words don’t count anymore.
Virtue: On page 3639 of the Oxford English Dictionary, virtue is defined as a word that describes a quality of persons.
The power or influence inherent in a supernatural or divine being.
Conformity of life with principles of morality; volunteer observance of the recognized moral laws of right conduct; abstention on moral grounds from any form of wrongdoing or vice.
Notice there isn’t any reference to God, or religion, man’s version of God.
We humans have instincts, many of which are built into the cake.
Does it parallel a faith in God, almost verbatim.
We tend to be more stubborn and aggressive than God intended. It is a survival thing.
So, what are we going to do?
The documents that define our government were intended to be carried out through virtue. This is the key to being an individual free man within a structured government—the only one of its kind ever implemented in civilized history. We can’t predict evil; we can only defend against it.
Evil will not pass by you. The weaker you are, the more attractive to evil you’ll be.
The enemy spends every minute planning ways to attack who and what we are. We can’t let them.
Human sanity will prevail through our actions of virtue, and we will stand together against evil.
Don’t think about alternatives, there aren’t any.
Add altruism to virtue. To be a good public servant a person needs both, among other things. Our form of government depends on these to work as intended. Serving in government is no longer about public service but about self service. I am glad to have found the Redneck Anthropoligist. I like that handle, by the way.
